Research Background:none
Internship and work experience:none
Social practice background: During high school, Wang actively participated in the school's science and technology club, but did not achieve any significant results.
language skills: My English foundation is average, writing and speaking are more difficult, and I haven’t started preparing for the TOEFL score yet.
Target: Apply for undergraduate programs in electronic engineering and communications in the United States, Canada, etc., hoping to conduct in-depth research and find your own interests during college.

Application strategy

analyze: Wang’s grades were average in high school and he lacked experience in practice and research. Since I met Wang when he was in grade 10, I was able to help him improve his competition, social practice background, and TOEFL training in accordance with my long-term study abroad plan. He also needed to highlight his personal potential and strong interest in the major in his study abroad application, while also improving his language skills.
School Selection: Mainly apply for undergraduate programs in electronic engineering and communications in the United States and Canada, choose schools with moderate rankings, and pay attention to institutions ranked 50-100 by QS.
Essays and Standardized Tests/Portfolios: Designed a personal statement, emphasizing the strong interest in electronic engineering and communications, and combined it with a 2-year study abroad plan to explain that despite average high school grades, I have accumulated a professional foundation through self-study of AP courses and participation in technology clubs and competitions. Provided TOEFL preparation guidance.
We arranged interview skills training, focusing on the passion for the Electronic Engineering and Communications major and future academic plans, as well as the experience gained during high school through practical activities in national and international level competitions and social practice activities provided through subject clubs and study abroad programs.

Application Result

Wang eventually received admission letters from the University of California, San Diego and other institutions. In order to better adapt to the academic environment, the school also provided him with language training opportunities.

Therefore, he can impact Ivy League schools and top business schools in various countries.
School Selection: After discussion, we, Wu and his family decided to apply mainly to internationally renowned business schools, such as the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States and the London Business School in the United Kingdom. At the same time, we selected schools ranked 30-50 by QS as alternatives.
Essays and Standardized Tests/Portfolios: In the standardized test, Wu took the SAT test and obtained an impressive score of 1500+ through the tutoring and review of our professional SAT teacher.

Pei

New York University
Master of Music

Student Background

academic background: Domestic non-key university, music major; GPA is around 3.1, but GPA in freshman and sophomore years was 2.5.
Research Background:Students have relatively little research background and have only collaborated with undergraduate teachers on some small projects, but no papers have been published.
Internship and work experience: The internships described by students were also quite general, with most of them doing some piecemeal works and performance projects.
Social practice background: He participated in many activities on behalf of the university he attended, and won the first prize in domestic professional competitions and the shortlisted award in international competitions; he also had collaborative works with majors such as games and animation.
language skills: I studied Japanese in high school, and I had to start from scratch for TOEFL, and speaking was particularly difficult.
Target: A master's degree in the same field in the United States, Canada, Australia, etc. can help students to continue their studies in doctoral-level programs and further their education in the future, and they do not plan to stay abroad after completing their studies.

Application strategy

analyze:Because I met Pei in August during his junior summer vacation, there was no time to arrange any background improvement. I could only evaluate and optimize Pei's existing information and achievements, and develop a study abroad plan that is more suitable for him. Pei's overall academic, research, work, language and social practice backgrounds are average, and even some of his language and academic scores will hinder his application for a master's degree, and he does not have obvious competitiveness. However, professional teachers still have a high evaluation of Pei's music technology. So based on this feature, we developed the following study abroad plan.
School Selection: The main target is the universities ranked 30-50 in QS in the United States, and strive for 1-2 Ivy League universities, combined with the top universities in Canada and Australia, and universities ranked around 50-100 in QS in the United States and some art or music colleges as a backup.
Essays and Standardized Tests/Portfolios: As the portfolio is the most important part of art applications, we arranged two experienced mentors for Pei as early as possible to plan and guide the creation of the portfolio.
Since Pei's other backgrounds were relatively weak, the role of the essay became more prominent. There were three major problems that needed to be solved: 1. Low GPA in freshman and sophomore years, and failed some courses. 2. Research and work background seemed average, with no outstanding internationally recognized achievements. 3. Poor oral English. The main instructor and the portfolio instructor worked together to provide Pei with multiple guidance on the overall essay story, interview logic, professional questions, and mock interviews.

Application Result

In the end, Pei received admission letters from five universities, including New York University's music major, and two of the universities offered scholarships.

Zhong

Transfer to a university and apply for a master's degree
Master of Engineering

Student Background

academic background: Domestic general high school courses, high school average score of 70, college entrance examination score below 2 levels.
Research Background: No background in any high school academic program.
Internship and work experience: No internship or work experience during high school.
Social practice background:none
language skills: IELTS 5.5.
Target: Bachelor's degree and subsequent master's degree from a regular public university.

Application strategy

analyze:The student is studying in a regular high school in a third-tier city in China. He has no experience studying abroad, studying abroad, or studying international courses. Because his high school studies and mock exam results were not ideal, he decided to study abroad in the second semester (January) of his last year of high school.
School Selection: Because Mr. Zhong has a poor language foundation and hopes to enroll on time, the consulting teacher suggests that he can first apply for a junior college to complete transfer credit courses, and then transfer to a suitable university to complete a bachelor's degree (as the student's first degree).

Application Result

After fully communicating with parents and students, considering the cost of studying abroad, convenience of life, and later academic development and personal identity planning, I finally chose British Columbia, Canada, and successfully enrolled in Langara College in September of the same year to complete a two-year language course and university transfer credit course. Later, I went to UNBC to enter the Department of Mathematics, studied sophomore courses, and completed a bachelor's degree in science. After graduating from the undergraduate degree, I successfully applied to the SFU School of Engineering to study for a Master in Mechanical Engineering.

Ma

College
Overseas work

Student Background

academic background: Bachelor's degree from a second-tier domestic university, Department of Music Performance.
Research Background: No background in any high school academic program.
Internship and work experience: After graduating from college, I joined a state-owned institution and worked as a grassroots worker.
Social practice background:none
language skills: IELTS 5.5.
Target: Immigrated to Canada after studying.

Application strategy

analyze: Because Ma's goal is not only to study, but also to consider immigration, so first of all, we need to consider the school's performance in terms of employment rate. Secondly, we need to consider the many preferential policies provided by the school's location for international students. Finally, we need to consider the talent gap in the major we are studying, good employment prospects after graduation, comfortable working environment, average salary of faculty and staff, etc.
School Selection:Ms. Ma is not satisfied with his current professional qualifications and work content. After considering his personal background, the cost of studying abroad, and future employment and identity planning options, we recommend that he choose Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Cloud Computing and Blockchain Postgraduate Certificate. First of all, the school has an excellent employment rate. The employment rate of 96% means that students have good employment prospects after graduation. Saskatchewan Polytechnic provides many preferential policies for international students, such as free medical insurance, and students can apply for the Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Program (SNIP) to obtain status after graduation. This major is a talent gap major in Saskatchewan. After graduation, it has good employment prospects, a comfortable working environment, and average salary for faculty and staff. It is very suitable for Ma's future development needs and provides many advantages and development potential.

Application Result

Choosing this school and major can provide Ma with an excellent educational environment, abundant practical opportunities and broad career development prospects, helping him achieve his immigration and career goals in Canada.
